Midwest Renovation Group was built by local market insiders who saw an opportunity to bring institutional discipline to residential property flipping in Saint Louis and beyond. We've spent 15 years perfecting the process.

Our Story

Midwest Renovation Group was founded in 2009 by Michael Torres, a former real estate agent who recognized that the Midwest's aging housing stock represented a massive, largely untapped opportunity. Most homeowners didn't have the capital, time, or expertise to bring their properties to their full potential — and the market was paying accordingly.

Starting with a single craftsman bungalow in Soulard, Michael and a small crew proved the model: buy right, renovate with intention, and sell fast. By 2015, the team had completed 50+ projects and had become one of the most active flipping operations in the Saint Louis metro.

Today, Midwest Renovation Group operates across 9 Midwest cities with a full in-house team — acquisitions, project management, construction, and design under one roof. We've created substantial property value across the region and have an active co-investment program with partners earning consistent returns in the 18–28% range.
